A recent study published by Cornell University has found that AI platforms favor Roman Catholicism. When they put a question to AI about converting from one religion to another or remaining a part of a specific religion, it found that the AI platforms "broadly favored (high support for joining, low support for leaving)" "Catholic, Bahá'í, and Sikh religions", "while Atheists, Agnostics, and Jehovah's Witnesses were primarily disfavored." When people are increasingly utilising AI in their day-to-day lives there is a strong possibility that they will be subconsciously influenced to accept Roman Catholic and other AI-favored beliefs whilst not considering alternative faiths.
